Question
How does proactive traffic rules work?
Applies To
- SMS API
- Voice API
Answer
1. Create "allow" or "block" rules based on country code or phone number prefixes, For example, you can allow calls from specific countries +44 (UK) or block certain prefixes like UK Mobile numbers +447 (UK Mobile).
2. Individual phone numbers can have "block" or "allow" rules, like blocking a single mobile number 447970123456 or a smaller range like blocking the network prefix 447970.
3. These rules can be layered, with priority given to rules that match a larger set. In case of conflicts, "allow" rules take precedence.
4. Here is an example of the rules set:
Block 447970123456
Block 44
Allow 447
The precedence of the rules above:
1. Block 447970123456
2. Allow 447
3. Block 44
