[Internal] How to find a customer's Account API Key?

This article explains how to find a customer's Account API Key from the Tableau search.

Procedure

There are 2 ways to find Account API Key:

1. Find by a customer's email address
2. Find by a customer's Project API Key

Find by customer's email address

1. Get a customer's email address from a support ticket
2. Go to the Tableau Users page
3. Search by the email address

Find by customer's Project API Key

1. Get a customer's Project API Key from a support ticket
   • If Project API Key is unknown, you can find a Project API Key from a Session ID by inspecting the Session ID on the Inspector.
   • 
2. Go to the Tableau Project page
3. Search by Project API Key

Additional Information

Once you get the Account API Key, you can find the account status, managed/unmanaged, and subscription plan from the Tableau Account page.
